Wedding Montage

Here is a video project I just completed for a client. The video footage on here was taken on 8mm film. I was unable to clean it up due to deadline issues, but I restored all of the still photos seen in the picture. When I have a few moments, I'll post a few of the best before and after photos from this video.

After this video was presented to the client's parents, he said there was not a dry eye in the house! I'm glad it had the desired effect. I really enjoyed working on this one.

The music for this video has been changed. Apparently, there is some tiff going on between Warner Music Group and Google/Youtube. The music has changed but the effects remain the same! Hopefully I'll have the "unedited" version up soon as well!

Two Become One

This image was a request from my neighbor. She was wanting a picture of her and her husband together when they were kids. Problem was, they never knew each other as children and lived in entirely different states. When she presented me the photos, I didn't know how I was going to pull it off. Luckily, after playing with it enough, I think I got the right feel of the photo down. I wish I had fully scanned the two originals, but I cropped the only parts I needed, Matt and Cynthia. Here are the two original photos:

Notice that I kept the background that the boy was in. He was pictured with his other siblings. I removed them and fabricated the rest of the couch behind the little girl. The photos were completely different as well. His photo was very grainy, but well composed. The shot she was in had a wider angle, making her small in the frame. I had to sharpen the boy and bring his resolution down to match the girl. I also had to bring down the picture quality of the girl and make her a bit more grainy in order to pull off the illusion of the photo.

I was pleased when I took it to be printed, the girl at Kinkos didn't seem to know what she was doing and was taking forever. I made small talk explaining what I was doing and what I did... thats when she looked up and said "You mean this used to be two pictures?!?" Once she said that, I felt I did a pretty decent job. It made for a good Christmas present!
